Pacific Tech Academy - Intro to Product Management Workshop Solomon Islands

Course Overview

Product managers help the teams they work with create successful digital products. Product management skills complement those of software developers and other business functions (like marketing, design, and sales). They draw on a range of skills and tools to ensure the product being built is one that people will want to use. In this course, you will expand your understanding of the product management role, and learn repeatable skills that can be applied to digital products you work on.

Who is this course for?

This course will be relevant for anyone with aspirations to help businesses and organisations develop and build digital products and undertake successful technology projects, as well as entrepreneurs planning to create their own technology startup. It will be helpful if you've got a background in information technology or business, but it is not required.

Course Facilitator

This course will be delivered by Hanna Burrows (Senior Product Manager) and Molly Sardella (Product Owner) from Common Code. Common Code is a software development agency and consultancy based in Melbourne, Australia. Both Hanna and Molly regularly work with Common Code’s clients and teams to create successful digital products.

What’s included?

This one-day course will include several sessions, designed to give an overview of the entire product management function, while teaching you skills and frameworks you can apply to products you work on. Sessions will include an interactive presentation, an activity designed to reinforce learning, and recommended reading materials if you’re wishing to expand your knowledge further after the course. There will be catered breaks between sessions and a chance to network with other participants.
