Across two workshops (Wednesday 27/10 and Wednesday 10/11), you will learn the basics of Python and Django (which are modern and popular software development languages), showcase your results, and have access to mentoring and connect with a growing community of people interested in technology in the South Pacific.

Who is this course for?

Anyone with an interest in software development (for personal or professional purpose) is welcome. You will need to be familiar with using computers and web browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Internet Explorer), and have access to a laptop and headphones.

Both Jon and Nora are passionate about Python & Django and have previously delivered this course in Tonga and the Solomon Islands.

In Vanuatu, yumiwork is a modern business coworking space, with business incubator programs, who support entrepreneurship and innovation.

There will be 2 workshops of 4 hours, one on Wednesday 27/10 and the other on Wednesday 10/11. You are registering for both workshops.

During and after the two workshops you will have access to an online Learning Management System, where you can find the documents & videos for the course and additional learning materials if you want to learn more afterwards.
